November Course Update
Course Update: 9 Holes Closed for Water Main Replacement Starting 11/4 – Temporary Rerouting in Place
Due to a necessary project by the Village of Mount Prospect, starting November 4, 2024, 9 of our 18 holes will be temporarily unavailable as part of a water main replacement project. To ensure you can still enjoy a full 18-hole experience, we’ve rerouted the course. You’ll play the same 9 holes twice, and the round will remain a par 70. This setup allows us to offer the best possible golfing experience while construction takes place.
In the coming weeks, we will provide additional information regarding tee times, booking procedures, course routing, and other important details to keep you informed and help you plan your visits. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the start of the project.
Why the Changes Are Happening
The Village is undertaking a significant infrastructure project to replace outdated water mains in the area surrounding the golf course. This project involves upgrading 12,306 feet of water mains, installing new fire hydrants and valves, and replacing lead service lines. The construction will directly impact the golf course, making half of the course temporarily inaccessible.
What to Expect
- Course Layout: From November 4, you will be playing the same 9 holes twice, preserving the feel of an 18-hole round at par 70. This rerouted setup will remain in place for the remainder of the season.
- Safety First: Construction zones will be clearly marked, and we ask all players to follow posted signs to ensure your safety.
- Project Duration: The work is projected to take about one month, but this timeline is dependent on weather and other factors.
Why This Matters
This infrastructure upgrade is essential for improving water pressure, fire protection, and overall service reliability for the surrounding community. We know the course closure may be inconvenient, but these upgrades will benefit everyone in the long run.
